A/C Engineer – (Static Maintenance)
Location: Central London Salary: £26 - £30ph Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri
The Role
Connect Grp UK are recruiting an experienced Air Conditioning (A/C) Engineer to join our maintenance team. This is a hands-on role covering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs across a portfolio of commercial/residential projects. You'll be responsible for keeping HVAC and refrigeration systems running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled PPM servicing on air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems in line with maintenance schedules
- Respond to reactive call-outs and breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently
- Complete fault-finding, repairs, and part replacements on a range of A/C systems (split, VRF/VRV, chillers, AHUs, etc.)
- Carry out gas handling, refrigerant recovery, and re-gassing in line with F-Gas regulations
- Complete accurate service reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, in line with health & safety and industry regulations
- Liaise professionally with clients and site contacts
- Participate in the on-call rota for out-of-hours emergency call-outs
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an A/C / HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer
- F-Gas Category 1 qualification (essential)
- Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across a range of A/C and refrigeration systems
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
