Mechanical Site Manager - Air Source Heat Pumps (Kent)
Connect Grp UK Ltd has partnered with a leading M&E company seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager with a strong background in air source heat pump installations and associated mechanical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional to oversee complex projects within the renewable energy sector, based in Cranbrook, Kent. The role offers a fixed-term contract with potential for extension, providing both stability and the chance to be involved in innovative heat pump projects.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a site management role within M&E projects, particularly with mechanical systems such as air source heat pumps and underfloor heating.
- Strong mechanical engineering background with relevant qualifications, including NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Valid SSSTS or higher safety management certification and Gas Safe registration.
- Experience supervising teams of 6 or more operatives, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of technical drawings, specifications, and quality assurance standards related to HVAC and renewable energy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of 6-8 operatives, ensuring safe, efficient, and quality-driven work on site.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and commissioning of air source heat pumps, managing associated mechanical systems such as UFH and hot water storage.
- Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance and resolve technical issues proactively.
- Conduct regular site safety briefings, toolbox talks, and quality inspections to maintain high standards throughout project phases.
- Coordinate project activities, including material procurement, site meetings with stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
