Operative/Packer
Our client is recruiting for a number of operative/packers to join their expanding company based in East Sussex.
Main Duties
- Constructing brick firing clamps' (a very large and carefully selected stack of bricks)
- Manually creating the base layers of bricks, prior to being finished using specialist equipment
- Hand sorting fired bricks into packs
- Adhering to health & safety, quality and environmental systems
- Creating and maintaining the highest standards of 5S's housekeeping and environmental management
Experience
- Previous labour intensive role
- High degree of Health & Safety awareness
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance and flexibility
- Self-motivated
- Numerate & literate
- Team working attitude
- Ability to also work alone
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team or on your own
- Ability to learn to operate key manufacturing and mobile plant
- Willingness to undergo further training and development
Hours
- Monday - Friday - 7.00am - 4.00pm
- ½ hour lunch and ½ hour break
- overtime is available
Salary
- Salary: £11.72 per hour
