Fire Stopper

Our client, a reputable Demolition company based in Central London, is seeking 2 x experienced  Fire Stopper to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in fire stopping and demolition work to contribute to high-profile projects within the construction sector. The successful candidate will be working on-site in Central London, delivering essential fire safety measures to support safe demolition processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in fire stopping within construction or demolition environments
• Knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards relevant to demolition sites
• Excellent understanding of fire stopping materials and installation techniques
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces
• Previous experience working with demolition teams or on demolition sites is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Installing fire stopping systems in compliance with safety standards and project specifications
• Collaborating with site management to ensure safety protocols are followed during installation
• Conducting inspections and ensuring fire stopping works are completed to a high standard
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Assisting in site planning and providing input on fire safety measures during demolition

• Valid CSCS Card and IPAF ( Required ) 

• Formal ID (Rights to work in UK if required)

• PPE Required - 5 point PPE - Please attend site in safety boots, black work trousers, plain t-shirt, gloves, safety glasses, helmet with strap.  Will be supplied a hi-vise on site

Rate is £18 per hour, paid 9 hours per day,  with 1 hour lunch, CIS available.

8 x weeks work (approx)

£230p/day on an 8 hour shift.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a 1st/2nd fix Carpenter, specifically with fire door installations.
• Solid background in general carpentry with relevant qualifications or apprenticeships.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Hold relevant CSCS card and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining fire doors on commercial and residential sites.
• Ensuring all work adheres to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Reading and understanding technical drawings and installation instructions.
• Collaborating with site managers and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tool and site safety at all times.

Work hours: 07.30am - 16.30pm 

Pay Rate: £290 a day 

                
Duration: 6 Weeks

Duties:  Testing. 

Successful candidates will need the following when arriving to site:

• JIB Gold Card

• Standard PPE - Test kit

Must have experience in Plumbing experience for this role. 

Work hours: 08.00am - 16.30pm 

Pay Rate: £230 a day 

                
Duration: 6 weeks 

Duties:  Soldered copper, solvent weld waste and cast iron SVPs, basic plumbing 

Successful candidates will need the following when arriving to site:

• CSCS Card

• PPE - Tools for basic plumbing

We require 6 x experienced carpenters for high end commercial fit out in central London.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, specifically in 1st and 2nd fix work
• Strong background in general carpentry within interior fit-out projects
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Excellent craftsmanship with attention to detail and safety standards
• Previous experience working on commercial or similar interior fit-out projects
• blue CSCS nvq lvl 2 as a minimum

Role Responsibilities:

• Performing 1st fix carpentry tasks including structural frameworks and framework installations
• Carrying out 2nd fix carpentry work such as installing fixtures, fittings, and joinery
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installations
• Collaborating with the site team to meet project timelines and quality standards
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations

Duties will involve 1st and 2nd fix installations on new office fitout / refurb projects.

Must have JIB gold card be able to read drawings and work independently.

Rate: £250 a day

Hours: 07.30-16.30

Duration: 2-3 weeks

Location: Central London 

Work hours: 07.30am - 17.00pm 

Day Rate: £250 per day 
 

Duration: 2 months 

Duties: Containment and wiring. 

Successful candidates will need the following when arriving to site:

• JIB Gold Card 

• PPE and Tools.
